Peterle Residence

A small section of the foundation of the original 575 sq. ft. house was the only portion of the structure salvaged of this 344 sq. ft. lot overlooking the Harbor and Village of Stonington, CT.

Conforming to the Zoning Regulations and meeting the building codes of an Impact Zone Four were key factors in the design of this one bedroom 866sq. ft. residence. Passive solar using double glazed glass towards the view and South, minimal windows facing neighbors for privacy and the North, a drilled well supply, drawing 55 degree water for the geothermal heating and air-conditioning system, plus a wood stove provides maximum energy efficiency for maximum year round comfort.
